Course title “Working safely”.
Target audience “Staff at any level in any work sector”.
Content “All the health and safety basics plus environmental issues”.
Assessment “Written and practical tests included in the day’s training”.
IOSH working safely covers one day or two half days, this can mean one set of employees AM second set PM, with a maximum of twenty delegates.
IOSH certificate – cost per certificate £25.00 + VAT each – we have to pay IOSH for the issue.
IOSH passport – cost per passport £30.00 + VAT each – we will need individual photographs. – we have to pay IOSH for the issue.
Individual work book – £18.00 + VAT each to provide – we can provide access to a disk that you can print them yourselves.
Working safety covers
Introducing working safely – stresses the realties of the human suffering behind statistics and emphases the importance of personal responsibility.
Defining hazards and risks – puts it into everyday language, with examples, risk assessment is demystified.
Identifying common hazards – main issues covered, entrances and exits, work traffic, fire, chemicals, electricity, physical and verbal abuse, bullying, stress, noise and the working environment, slips, trips and falls and manual handling.
Improving safety performance the session bridges the gap between management and workforce, to encourage individual to play their part in the process. To include contract work, inspections, safe systems and permits, protective equipment, signage, emergency procedures reporting and health checks.
Protecting our environment – a short introduction to waste and pollution how we can all be involved.
Cost per person £75.00 + VAT.
Minimal number of attendees eight or a minimum charge of £600.00 + VAT will be applied.
It may be of use to ask subbies to attend and charge them for the benefit; you have then trained staff and contractors.
The issue of IOSH certificates or IOSH passports are nationally recognised and respected. They meet the governments guidelines for introductory health and safety training and is a 100 per cent match to the HSE “passport” syllabus.
It will not turn attendees into safety experts, it focuses on why health and safety is important and how individuals an make a real difference to the well being of themselves and others through changing their behaviour.• Our price is based on normal working hour’s attendance only. All goods, services, reports and assessments remain the property of Grove Services (UK) Limited until paid for in full. Our payment terms are strictly net within thirty days; no allowance has been made or calculated for extended credit.
• We reserve the right to charge interest on payments not meeting the net thirty days and may therefore attract an interest of 12% and may be charged compensation arising from the late payments in line with the “late Payments of Commercial Debts Regulations 2002”.

• The rates included in this offer are based on February 2007 rates, all rates are exclusive of VAT, this will be added at the rate prevailing on the date of invoice submission.
