International Agent - Jenni Sutton - South Africa

During my stay in the southern hemisphere I am pleased to report I was able to make a positive point of contact within a South African retailer regarding stock of our UK based designers. I approached The Young Designer’s Emporium; a fashion store showcasing young, talented designers in South Africa with a proposal of an overseas correspondence. The opportunity to showcase our wonderfully, talented designers in this well established fashion retailer would certainly be an amazing prospect for us at Fashion-Enter but I also felt The Young Designers Emporium store itself would benefit hugely by embracing a whole new culture of designs and would even add to their already revolutionary concept.

I visited the store on numerous occasions to get an idea on what sort of cliental they were attracting and what sorts of garments were being stocked. Taking into consideration the extremely hot climate it was understandable that any light weight fabrics and beach wear were amongst the best selling items. The designers seemed to take inspiration from both local and international trends so there was a great mix of styles. Party dresses and an extensive range of accessories were also very popular with young girls wanting to break away from the standard summer uniform of shorts and t-shirts.
