The Hot New Fabric – Bamboo
Bamboo is not one of the newest fibres on the market, but in the last year the use of bamboo for clothing has really caught on. With consumers being more ecologically concerned and aware of the affects of global warming, bamboo fibre clothes can be seen in fashion collections and shops.
Bamboo textiles have excellent properties that make it ideal for clothing and one of the reasons why it is quickly emerging in the fashion industry. Bamboo fabrics are made from pure bamboo fibre yarns and what is most surprising about the end fabric is how soft it is. The fabric is light and has a natural sheen that gives it a softness of hand like cashmere or silk.
