Fabric Specialist

After graduating with a BA in languages, Karen Levy joined her family business importing and merchanting fabrics from all over the world. She quickly learned the ins of the trade and became involved in running all aspects of the business. She loved the buzz and the excitement that the fashion industry gave her and realized that fashion was in her blood for good! Weaving, dyeing, wovens and knits all became her passion and she developed her natural skills in fabric and colour development.


Karen was also involved in sales and presented and sold her ranges to both the high street retailers as well as UK and European garment manufacturer’s. Karen ran the business successfully for over 25 years.

Karen is now a fabric consultant and with her background, knowledge and experience she is able to provide a unique customized service for manufacturing companies and garment designers alike. She will help the client with the sourcing, selecting and fabric development as well as creating customized colour palettes or simply advice on colour input. With her technical skills Karen can find solutions for any fabric problems the client may have.

She will advise on coordinating fabric ranges and any on going fabric research or project that the client requires. She knows fabric production from yarn to dye batch matching etc...To put it in a nutshell, Karen is the link between the fabric manufacturer and the client and is there for your one stop fabric needs!
