Vanilla Storm was set up in 2004 by husband and wife team Richard and Jenny Hudson. Working with small businesses they build fresh, stylish websites and e-commerce facilities, mixing accessibility, usability and good design. Since its formation Vanilla Storm has gone from strength to strength, with an exciting, rapidly expanding portfolio and a nomination for the Big Chip Awards in 2006.

Vanilla Storm specialises in assisting companies within the creative sector including fashion designers, artists, jewellery designers etc. Their ‘Pre-designed’ web package has been extremely successful. Aimed at start-ups and SMEs, it provides professional web design at an affordable price. For just £300 plus VAT companies receive a 5-page website which is fully customised, optimised for the search engines and complies with accessibility standards. They also receive a free .uk domain name and free hosting for the first year as part of the package.

Their online shop/e-commerce packages provide a global market place for companies wishing to sell their products/services online. Prices in this area are also competitive, starting at just £100 for the addition of a simple shopping cart facility.

In addition to their web services Vanilla Storm is also recognised for its successful North West Events and Information newsletter and popular daily blog, Indie Quarter. The North West Events and Information newsletter (www.nw-events.info ) is distributed by email at the beginning of each month and reaches a regional audience of around 4,000 people. It features everything from conferences, seminars, networking opportunities and workshops to training courses and major social events. Due to popular demand, it recently expanded to include general business articles.

Indie Quarter (www.indiequarter.com ) was established towards the end of 2005 to showcase the work of independent designers around the world. Updated daily it aims to keep you up to date with everything ‘indie’ - fashion designers, jewellery designers, photographers, artists, ceramicists and so on.
